some of the topics that will be discussed

EXPENSES

---other services or department reductions
---cost sharing with other cities
---leasing/renting vs owning
---doing work ourselves vs contracting
it out
This meeting will be open to the public.
I invite all to come and listen to the discussions
that take place. Last year, Mayor Young
proposed that the board raise the utility
tax without getting voter approval first.
I was opposed to this and believe all tax
increases should have voter approval first.
I believe that the residents showed to the
board that they do not want to pay more
taxes with the failure of Prop B in April.
There have been many ideas briefly discussed
but I anticipate more discussion on these
issues at this meeting. If you are unable
to attend this meeting, feel free to e-mail
me with any thoughts or concerns so that
I can best represent the community. Thank
you for your time and I hope to see you
on May 19th.
